Green Galaxy Fusion Water-Based PMS Mixing System
I have been using the green galaxy mixing system for almost 5 years. Very easy to mix, simply go on the site, punch in your pantone and mix away. Very easy and it makes it compatible with both pc and mac. Ink always leave a perfect print that lasts. I always try to sell customers on the water based option due to its incredible hand the green galaxy leaves, or i should say doesn't leave. If you are already into, or getting into water based the green galaxy mixing system is a must have.

The pigments themselves are nice and mix and print well. The fusion software is completely useless. Almost every recipe (even for the darkest colors) seem to contain about 10% white pigment by default. If you follow the recipes, almost everything comes out looking desaturated and pastel. I can't imagine these recipes were ever actually tested for accuracy and this has been a problem for years. They even have a "correct formula request" button on the Fusion site, because they know so many of the recipes are wrong. Some recipes seem to have been corrected, but the vast majority I've tried are terrible. These pigments are fine if you're comfortable mixing colors by eye, but BEWARE, the software is totally unreliable and you'll waste a lot of time, base, and pigment if you follow those recipes

I have used these to mix multiple colors for different jobs and they have turned out okay. With some lighter colors the ink what very runny but I made do. The scale I use is not the most accurate but the colors come turn out close to my desired color.
Try it with a scale that goes to 2 decimal places you may see a huge difference. Glad you like it though!

Access the mixing system of color formulas.
Green Galaxy™ Fusion Mixing Pigments can be mixed directly into Green Galaxy™ Clear Core Base, however, it’s recommended to create your own base with 80% Clear Core and 20% Opaque Core. Adding 20% Opaque Core to the color mix provides more body and better coverage to the ink. If you desire more coverage or body, you can add additional Opaque Core to the mixing base, but this will alter the mixing formula slightly, and manual tweaks will be necessary to achieve the originally desired Pantone® color.
Green Galaxy™ Fusion Pigment load should not surpass 25% of the total ink mixing ratio, with the exception of Green Galaxy™ Fusion White Pigment. Green Galaxy™ Fusion White Pigment is curable but will lead to a heavier hand and a more crusted feeling if added in excess.
NOTE: If too much pigment is added to the mixing base, it will not cure properly. All mixing formulas on the mixing system software have already been appropriately balanced and should not need adjusting if using the recommended base.
*Some Pantone colors require Booster Inks: they are not included in this kit.
