Screen Printing Is For Lovers - Live Printing Deep Dive With Colin
In this blog, we’re taking you behind the scenes with Ryan and Colin as they fine-tune the details for the live printing of special edition "Screen Printing Is For Lovers"...
I have a single station press, so I bought one of these for $5 to try it out. I had switched to waterbased adhesive a few years ago since I work in a small space and don't want everything to be sticky. But even with the waterbased adhesive, if I'm printing fleece, I have to spray and scrub after a few pieces and sometimes reapply. And that is a mess to clean up when I'm done. With Printgrip, I still clean after about 5 prints with fleece, but it's super easy, comes right off, and dries quickly. And no adhesive residue.
Where'd the 5th star go? Either way I'm glad you like the print grip
Switched to this in a whim and it is way better then having glue getting stuck on shirts :)
it has been awful.. tomorrow i plan on pulling them all off my 12 pallet M&R.. They are made to put someone on a machine that has no experience!! You want to talk about distorted prints when pulling off then this is right up your alley! they start out so aggressive and then half way thru the run if you do any quantity size orders you will be scrubbing them 3 times a day.. i can go at least 2 weeks at 2000 a day and still be able to control my stickiness.. i just put them on a week ago and they will be torn off no matter how much money i lose to get my sanity back.. i have printed for 32 years and i mean me running the press that i would suggest these to anyone till they get it more user friendly. Which they will not..when cleaning they actually make more of a mess then spray tack if you know what you are doing.. would not recommend and im sure alot of other people will start giving this feed back.. if you are printing tight registration you will distort prints on the first 100 at least and then when you start losing the tack you will have to stop and clean which takes way longer then changing pallet paper and that is a fact so not happy with this product at all.. its laughable of the people that gave this 5 stars ..they are only good for so long and they are not easy to work with .. i will give screen shot of all 12 of them going in garbage tomorrow so not happy i wasted the amount of money i did on them..
Thank you for your feedback on PrintGRIP. I'm sorry to hear you were not happy with the results you were getting with them. Here is a few tips directly from Print GRIP about these being overly sticky: 1. Dab the pallets with fleece or another fibrous material before printing. This will help to take away some of the stickiness and make pulling garments off of the pallets much easier. 2. Only clean the print area of the PrintGRIP. This will help to keep the stickiness only where it needs to be, and assist in making garments easier to pull off. 3. Give it some time. When the PrintGRIP is brand new, it will be its stickiest. As you print on it for some time, it will lose some of its stickiness; making it easier to pull garments off while still maintaining enough stickiness to hold the garments in place. 4. Try the medium tack white PrintGRIP Sheets. https://www.screenprinting.com/products/printgrip-high-tack-sheet-for-platens?variant=42331217789039 Please let us know what questions you have: support@ryonet.com
This has been a great addition to my print shop! Definitely recommend
Way to upgrade your shop! Thank you for your review!
These are amazing to use! No more spray tack! Just warning on those first few shirts to take off---pull up sides and come up from the bottom to remove, because you can stretch the shirt out of wack. LOL Using the water and scrub pad is quick and easy! So happy with these and I want to thank whoever evented these because they are amazing.
Awesome to hear you are loving PrintGRIP! So clean and easy to use! And will save your shop tons in adhesive costs! Happy printing!
